For an effortless way to start your journey sign-up for our Tica Charm HomeBase with the Shuttle Option. 

When you select this option we will pick you up airport, take you to Alajuela where you will be provided with lodging for the night at a bed and breakfast brimming with Tica Charm. Time permitting you will be taken on our Walk-About Tour designed to help acclimate you to the country, familiarize you a bit with the Tico way of life and get you prepared for your journey.

The next morning, after you had a delicious 'typical tica' breakfast in the tropical garden setting, you will be transported from your HomeBase to your shuttle and you ride in air-conditioned comfort to your destination.

Then night before your departure from the country you will stay at the same bed and breakfast and the day of your flight we will have a taxi waiting to take you to the airport so that your arrive two hours before your flight.

...Private Transfers

We use Taxi Unidos for our Private Transfers.  They are the country's largest tourist transport company with a fleet of more than 70 fully insured late modeled vehicles and more than twice as many courteous and professional divers.  

Aware of the country's highways and back-roads your driver can get you anywhere you want to go. Let us know your travel plans and we will pick you up at the airport and get you on the road. You can also arrange point to point service from one location to another within the country. Surfboards and extra luggage aren't a problem.  

When your order a Private Transfer you will be met at the airport and we will have you on your way minutes after you arrive. Again, we don't want you to wait to your destination to have fun in Costa Rica, we want you to enjoy the trip on the way. So bring your favorite CD's and let us know if you want us to provide you with a cooler with cold water and Tropical refreshments for the journey. 

Also advise us if your want us to instruct your driver to take you by the bank so that you can exchange money, a typical Tico restaurant where you can get an introduction to the local cuisine or stop alongside the road so you can snap a picture or two.
