...a bit about the bus

Bussing in Costa Rica is a smart and economical way to travel within the country.  Costa Rican buses are modern, clean and reliable, and there are routes serving most of the popular tourist destinations.  But before going into San Jose to purchase your tickets and catch a bus read what the experts say:

Lonely Planet

'In recent years most thefts from travelers happen around the Coca-Cola area...'

The Tico Times

'Its easy to get lost and not to hard to get robbed around the Coca-Cola bus terminal and the 'red light district' of San Jose from where many of the provincial buses leave. Yet visitors who plan to explore the country by bus need to go there twice...'

Rough Guide to Costa Rica

'Some popular buses require advance booking to popular tourist areas - especially Monteverde - (Quepos, Jaco, Tamarindo, Puerto Viejo etc.) get booked very fast so for these buses you should buy your tickets at least 5 days in advance.'

Costa Rica Guide 2004

'Tickets for long-distant buses may be purchased in advance and this is recommended...

Hunter Travel Guide - Costa Rica

'As mentioned earlier, you should stay clear of the old Coca-Cola area. A Safe Passage can help you out.'

Using our Pick Up and Deliver service we pick you up at the airport and get you on your bus.

With your tickets purchased in advance you won't have to ride to your destination  standing.

Catching a bus on the highway can be a bit tricky doing it on your own.

We now offer service to southern Costa Rica and the Caribbean.

I am glad we found you.  Ursula R. - Zurich, Switzerland
