HomeBase

When you set up a HomeBase you can put your travel anxieties aside.  We will pick you up at the airport and provide you with friendly, safe and convenient lodging for the night at an area Bed and Breakfast, hotel or hostel.  Then to help acclimate you to the 'Tico' way of life and help prepared you for your journey, time permitting, you will be taken on a short WalkAbout Tour.  We can end the tour in a local restaurant where a delicious Tica dinners are under $5.

After at good night's rest and you had breakfast, we will take you to the where you can safely board your bus or catch the shuttle.  Then you are off to your Costa Rica destination.

When your adventure is over you return to the same Bed and Breakfast, hotel or hostel for the night  before your departure. With your HomeBase you will be no more than 10 minutes from the airport. And if you forgot to get 'someone something' there are stores in the area where you can do last minute souvenir shopping.

If you are staying an extra day or so we can set you up with a self-guided or independent tour.  With a one day tour you can explore butterflies at the Butterfly Farm, watch artist paint the renowned carts in Sarchi or learn the history of the coffee at Cafe Britt.  Other options include kayaking around Volcano Arenal, exploring a local pueblo or enjoying the day a local family park where you can swim in pools feed by underground springs, sunbath or play basketball in a pick up game with the locals.  Self-guided and independent tours offer an inexpensive and excellent way to venture.

'I am so glad my Internet search led me and my husband to A Safe Passage.  Deciding to use your services for our trip to Costa Rica was one of the best decisions we made. Arranging for our first night's stay and picking us up at the airport was a life saver.  I have already recommended A Safe Passage to people we know who plan to go to Costa Rica, so you will probably be meeting some of our friends.  See you on our next trip to beautiful Costa Rica.  Stacy N. - Chicago Ill
